Rian and Leon Walker, Esq. are the co-founders of DL3 Cares Community Foundation. In addition to leading the foundation, Leon is also the managing partner of DL3 Realty Advisors, LLC, a leading commercial development firm that prioritizes community projects sensitive to a neighborhood’s character while creating economic opportunities for local residents.

Rian Walker is RIAN KATHERINE's founder and creative director, a luxury handbag and accessories company that caters to and empowers today's modern women.

Throughout their careers independently, Rian and Leon have established meaningful connections with the communities they work with, and in doing so, developed a strong passion for philanthropy. Leon’s community and civic engagement initiatives include serving as a board member with the University of Michigan Real Estate Fund, Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University, Chicago Emerging Minority Developer Initiative, Corporate Coalition, Chicago Loop Alliance, and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, Realty Club of Chicago, Commercial Club of Chicago, Chicago Central Area Committee, National Opportunity Zone Coalition, NAIOP, ICSC Government Relations Committee, Civic Federation of Chicago, Urban Land Institute, and the Illinois Bar Association.

After a nine-year tenure with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Leon decided to take his philanthropy to new heights, and, emboldened by the support of his wife and foundation partner Rian, the two decided to launch the DL3 Cares Community Foundation.

With the launch of the Community Foundation, Leon and Rian are committed to nurturing Chicago’s underserved communities through a variety of philanthropic endeavors while also partnering with other organizations committed to a more equitable Chicago.
