2023 Summer Camp

DL3 Cares Community Foundation proudly partnered this summer with Chosen Bethel Family Ministries and the Center of Higher Development to host a transformative and enriching free Summer Camp, under the guidance of Apostle Walter Gillespie and Prophetess Sandra Gillespie. This momentous seven-week camp was made possible by the unwavering commitment of multiple local sponsors, community, and support from local elected officials.

For more than two decades, COHD has hosted a Summer Camp for youth aged 7-14 to empower and engage Chicagoland’s youth to do amazing things within a safe environment — develop new skills, have life-changing experiences, promotes independence, teaches teamwork and resiliency, make new friends, and, of course, have lots of fun. The day Camp included interactive games and activities, including tumbling, hip-hop dance, arts and crafts, and martial arts, structured academic enrichment sessions, and exciting and stimulating weekly field trips.

In celebration of the successful Summer Camp, DL3 Cares Community Foundation hosted a closing ceremony that allowed the children to showcase their summer achievements through exhilarating dance programs, gymnastics displays, and martial arts demonstrations for friends and family.
